Lil Toy Yoda was an American rapper from the Flex Entertainment label. He was the former fifth executive for the label before he was pronounced dead on the 22nd of December 2020 after being allegedly "shot by the opps" at the funeral of fellow rappers MF Chicken and Lil Boxx.
On January 24 of 2022, it was revealed that Lil Toy Yoda had faked his death as he came on Twitter revealing that the opps that killed him did not literally kill him, but instead killed his motivation. He then announced a new project titled "Return To The Throne" which would release in early 2022 to decent reception.
Yoda released a number of songs and projects on Soundcloud in 2018 and 2019, and gained notoriety for his absurd vocal delivery, production, and lyrics. His most well-known song from this era is the sleeper hit "Rat Booty Stuck in Train Tracks," which gained popularity around two years after its released.
Lil Toy Yoda became a Heatseeker Artist in mid 2019, which was a short-lived program of potential Flex artists. However, all these artists were eventually just signed to Flex. After Yoda's mentor CRZFawkz left the label on October 31, 2019, Yoda was signed to Flex alongside Lil Squeaky. He became one of the first Administrators in June 29, 2020 alongside Yung Garfield. Soon after, he became an Executive of Flex Entertainment.
Yoda has released a number of notable songs in during his time in Flex, including "Runaa Wayy," "Party Like it's 1846," and his famous collaboration with xofilo, "No Words," which was considered one of the best Flex songs at the time. His Lo-fi Beatz & Sadboiz project was released on streaming services under Flex as well.
He died on December 22nd, 2020, after gunshot wounds from the "opps" whilst attending MF Chicken and Lil Boxx's funeral. He was quickly replaced by skawt (formerly sk00tt), a hyperpop artist who many suspect to be the same person as Lil Toy Yoda, stating that his death was faked.
skawt's music has been polarizing, with many calling it overly edgy hyperpop, and others claiming that it is some of the best music to ever come from Flex. Lil Toy Yoda's music has been positively received, especially in retrospect, with many citing "Rat Booty Stuck in Train Tracks" as a classic.
